DR. KHOOBEHI: Plastic surgery is a very special field of medicine. It's the only field that you have both surgical skill plus you have to be artist. And when you look at the patient, you cannot just go by the numbers or parameters, you have to have artistic skills to look at the patient's face and be able to understand, what is going to make that patient look better? You cannot depend on the textbooks, you cannot depend only on the training. There has to be some kind of inspiration and talent in you to be able to put all the surgical skills you have learned before and be able to put it together to provide a patient with the best possible result. When I do my surgeries, I don't look at just making an incision, pull the tissue, make it tighter or bigger. I look at the patient, what I'm going to be able to do with that patient to make them as natural as possible, as good as possible, and also give them lasting results, but also give them a natural look. I like my patients, when they see their friends and family, that the friends and family ask them, not that who is your doctor, but have you been resting a lot, you're looking better.
